How to get here

The Queen’s Marque district is located on the vibrant Halifax waterfront. The district is accessible through three entryways along Lower Water Street and through its North and South Gate, located at the bottom of Prince St. and George St.

Tidal Beacon

This towering art piece responds to the tides and weather, transforming itself with light, sound and motion.

As the tides change, light rises and shifts within the structure, culminating at high and low tide with a 12-minute light event, including a beaming beacon of light that shines into the sky and out over the harbour.

Tidal Beacon is fully accessible, with a lift inside for any visitors with limited mobility.

To best time your visit, check today’s high and low tides here.
